Test your knowledge of Ellington and Somers history with this photo from the archives of the historical societies.

What organization did these men belong to?

Here's a hint, it's in Ellington and they were charter members.

If you think you know the answer, respond in the "Leave a comment" box below this article. We'll run the answer next week, along with a new historical photo.

The image has been provided by the Ellington Historical Society.

Last week's question was "Who Are These People?" and there was a guess. They are the Bahlers.

According to Images of America: Ellington, from the Ellington Historical Society:

"Seen here from left to right, Gottfried, Audrey, Kay, and John Bahler stand in front of their Holstein herd in a misty meadow on Bahler Farms around 1949. Vern, Ron, Dan, and Dave Bahler continue the family dairy business begun by Adolph Bahler, who emigrated from Switzerland in the late 1880s. The family's Oak Ridge farm, on Jobs Hill Road, was awarded Connecticut's Dairy Farm of Distinction award in 2005."
