Ellington "Average" but Special Too

Although the Hartford Courant ranks Ellington as the most average town in the state (at least in terms of statistics), it's not average in how some residents think about it.

According to the Hartford Courant, Ellington is the most average town in the state.

Some current and former Ellington residents have a little bit of a different view of their town, however.

On the "I grew up in Ellington, CT" Facebook page, one person wrote, "Oh, I still think Ellington is a very above average town, too!"

Another man wrote that Crystal Lake, prominently shown in pictures that accompany the Courant’s story, is the best part of the town.
