Damage at Kloter Farms Extensive

This video shows just some of the damage done to Kloter Farms after a fire on Wednesday.

Shortly before 7 a.m. on Wednesday, a in Ellington, causing an extensive amount of damage.

Todd Root, Director of Marketing for Kloter Farms, said that the lone employee in the building said she heard a bang before the fire started. He said that the bang was believed to be an explosion.

No one was hurt and the fire did not encroach on an adjacent shopping plaza.

Root added that the fire is believed to have started on the lower level of the store and spread upward through the upper level of the store. The fire marshal is investigating.

In terms of the loss, the monetary estimates are quite extensive.

Kloter farms specializes in selling and delivering pre-assembled outbuildings and playscapes. Just this past Saturday, the property was full of families during a special event hosted by the business.
