Abandoned Pit Bull Looking for a Home

She was brought to Ellington Animal Control after being found by a Stafford resident in Ellington.

This dog was brought to the dog pound by a Stafford resident who claimed to have found the dog in Ellington.

She is a young adult pit bull who has been advertised, and so far, no owner has called looking for her, so the staff thinks she has been abandoned.

She will be available for adoption on June 20 if not claimed, and pending evaluation.

The staff says that pit bulls are extremely hard for them to find homes for when they do not have a history on the dogs. Because of that, they do not adopt them out to a family with small children.
