I have no ax to grind with any political party but it seems to me this whole business smacks ofRead Moredirt y politics which will cost the taxpayers of Somers thousands of dollars. In my dealings with the town hall clerk's office, Ann Logan has always been helpful, friendly and professional.

It was inevitable, I suppose. First, AOL, particularly Tim Armstrong's mismanagement of the PatchRead Moreou tlets, then the sale to Hale Global pretty much dumped a ton of weed killer on the idea of 'Hyper-Local' news. The best recourse is to either continue reading and contributing your news and blogs, or just simply walk away. As long as the site is up and accepts our contributions, we have a semblance of a local news outlet. But not having our local editors is going to have a very disastrous effect on how Patch formats the page. I have no idea of what, if any, future Patch will have in our community, but I'm very sorry to lose friends like Erin and Ron. Time will tell, I suppose.
