Avon Takes Advantage of Somers

The Falcons received eight walks - and a hit batter - in the game. These walks and some timely hitting gave Avon the early lead that it would need.

Avon led 5-0, but Somers tied it in the bottom of the third with five runs in the inning. The Falcons would then score nine runs in the next two innings.

Matt Mascoli picked up the win for Avon while Adam Donovan took the loss for somers.

The Falcons had nine hits with Liam O'Connor, Sean Smith, and George Nurisso notching two each. Smith also drove in two runs.

Somers had 13 hits in the game. Ryan Connor had three hits and four runs driven in, while Austin Ficara, Kevin Roberts, and Brian Rossini had two hits each.

Avon committed two errors in the game while Somers committed four.

Somers (5-7) travels to Ellington on Wednesday. Avon (7-7) travels to Canton the same day.
